Over 3K students get an allowance from MisOcc gov’t

  More than 3,000 students have benefited from the allowance distribution of the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, through the leadership of Governor Henry Oaminal, from December 20 to 21. Student-beneficiaries from different towns in the Misamis Occidental received a two-month allowance equivalent to P10,000 from the provincial government. On top of this, an additional P5,000 worth of Christmas cash gifts was also given to student-beneficiaries who were residing in the cities of Ozamiz, Tangub, and Oroquieta, as well as the towns of Bonifacio, Calamba, Clarin, Jimenez, Tudela, Panaon, Sinacaban, Aloran, Lopez Jaena, Plaridel, Baliangao, Sapang Dalaga and Conception, and Don Victoriano.   The initiative was part of the provincial government’s Asenso Pamilya program wherein grantees can avail themselves of vocational or tertiary education with a provision of a P5,000 monthly stipend throughout the school year semester.
