Monato thanked Misamis Occidental Gov. Henry Oaminal for spearheading the initiative—which he said “embodied the true essence of public service.”

“On behalf of the men and women of Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office, I am truly honored and overjoyed to extend the warmest welcome to all of you on this special occasion “Our Pamaskong Handog para sa mga Police 2023” graciously initiated by our distinguished Provincial Governor the celebration of love, generosity and the spirit of giving,” said Monato.

He added that the Pamaskong Handog event “is not merely an event” but a “testament” of a strong bond between the government and the communities as they push for shared endeavors of having peaceful and progressive living.

“The police have proven the love and care of the working governor to the police officers,” Monato said.

He also thanked the governor for boosting the morale of men in uniform by pushing through an event.

Meanwhile, Monato urged his fellow men in uniform to take this yuletide season as an opportunity to further build good relations with the local government to deliver the “best police service and better police operational output in the next coming year.”

“Dili lang ta dawat limpyo so we have to repay his goodness to us with more operational accomplishments and more intense crime prevention and crime resolution activities,” he said.

Monato also urged policemen to carry out the essence of Pamaskong Handog in “uplifting and supporting one another.”

“May this day be filled with the warmth of camaraderie, the joy of giving, and the spirit of Christmas,” he said.
