New MisOcc medical center to boost province’s healthcare system


OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—More improved medical services and health facilities can now be accessible to Misamisnons with the construction of the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center located in Barangay Talairon, Oroquieta City.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal inspected the ongoing hospital construction of the medical center which is seen to further boost the province’s healthcare system.

He conducted assessment rounds along with the site engineer and Provincial Engineers Office who briefed him on the project’s status.

The P1-billion project, realized under the Oaminal administration, is aimed at providing better health services and improving the quality of life of the people of Misamis Occidental.

“The construction of the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center is part of my administration’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for our constituents. This project aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to every Misamisnons, especially those in remote and underserved areas,” Oaminal said.

The provincial government has been addressing several problems that have been experienced since the past administration.

The project will surely be of great benefit, not only to the people of Misamis Occidental but to those residing in neighboring provinces.

The first phase of the hospital facing the front of the highway is expected to be completed within this year, while the target completion of the entire medical center is seen by 2025. (SN/PGMO)
