Jimenez residents get 'Pamaskong Handog' from MisOcc LGU

 

 


JIMENEZ, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL---The provincial government of Misamis Occidental, under the leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, in coordination with Jimenez local government unit on Tuesday (Dec.12) commenced the distribution of Noche Buena package to 2,687 families residing in the area.

The initiative is part of MisOcc government's annual "pamaskong handog" holiday program.

Included in this year's Noche Buena food packs are spaghetti set, corned beef, Chinese-style luncheon meat, and Vienna sausage.

First District Representative Jason Almonte also provided a whole-dressed chicken for the families.

Jimenez Mayor Joselito Chiong expressed his appreciation to the provincial government for distributing early Christmas gift for the residents.

In his remarks, Chiong recalled the implemented programs and projects by Gov. Oaminal that benefited the residents of Jimenez town.

On behalf of the governor, Jimenez SK Chairman Queenie Marie S. Bacala reechoed Oaminal's message saying the goal of Pamaskong Handog is not only meant to giving Christmas packs to residents, but also to share love and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with Pamilyang Misamisnons.

Residents expressed their gratitude as they happily carried home the Noche Buenas package they received.

They also thanked Gov. Oaminal and Cong. Almonte and Mayor Joselito Chiong for spearheading the spread of joy during the holiday season.

“Kami, pila naman ni katuig nga nakadawat mi og Pamaskong Handog, nagpasalamat gyud mi og dako sa among mayor, ug labaw sa tanan ni Governor Oaminal nga siya gyud ang naghatag. Salamat kaayo gov sa imong gipanghatag namo kay makadugang man pod ni sa among handa sa pasko ilabina nga galisod bitaw. Salamat pod mi sa tanan gikan sa kang Governor, Congressman, ug tanang Board members,” said Gena Agbon from Barangay Palilan, Jimenez.

Agbon expressed support and prayers for Gov. Oaminal amid the challenges he confronts in his political career.

“Gov, nasayod man gyud ko sa imo naagian karon pero mag ampo lang ta sa Ginoo nga malayo gyud ka sa daotang tao kay kanang mga daotang tao mao man gyud nay nag plano sa imoha kay dili man sila gusto nga ikaw ang mo serbisyo kay nakita man gyud nila nga dako kaayo kag nahimo dinhi sa Misamis Occidental busa ayaw kabalaka kai kami nag tabang og ampo nimo nga ikaw malayo sa mga daotan,” Agbon told Oaminal.

Beneficiaries are composed of 144 households from Barangay Sinara Alto, 133 in Sinara Bajo, Adorable 68, Palilan 513, Nacional 346, Santa Cruz 452, Macabayao 351, Sibaroc 211, Guintomoyan 123,  Dicoloc 376, Butuay  433, Gata 154, San Isidro 108, Malibacsan 137, Corrales 188, Taraka with 267, Carmen 468, Seti 176 and Mialem 284.

As of December 12, PGMO already distributed Pamaskong Handog to the city of Oroquieta, Aloran town, Lopez Jaena town, and Calamba town.
