2 MisOcc centenarians receive 200K cash gift from DSWD, Provincial Gov’t

  MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL – Two centenarians in the province of Misamis Occidental, Placida Dampor Agot from Brgy. Sumasap in Panaon and Adela Claret Hipe from Barangay Northern Poblacion in Plaridel, each received a cash gift of Php 200,000 pesos for reaching the remarkable age of 100 years old. On December 5, representatives from the Provincial Social Welfare Department and employees of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) congratulated the centenarians after visiting their homes. The commendation came with a financial reward of 100,000 pesos from the national government through DSWD and an additional 100,000 pesos from the provincial government through PSWDO. 131 MSU-Marawi students arrive safely grateful to MisOcc LGU

  At least 131 students of Mindanao State University-Marawi repatriated to the province of Misamis Occidental have arrived safely here at Ozamiz City Port around 3 a.m. on Dec. 4 The students were among those individuals that were stranded following the bombing incident at a gymnasium in MSU Marawi. The repatriated students expressed gratefulness for the immediate assistance offered by Governor Henry Oaminal as well as the local government mayors, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), and law enforcement agencies, including the provision of transportation, ready-to-eat meals, and other necessary assistance. Gov Oaminal orders abrupt repatriation of students, following Marawi incident

        Misamis Occidental Provincial Governor Henry S. Oaminal on Sunday morning ordered the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDDRMO) under the command of Retired General Joseph Villanueva to closely coordinate with 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and local chief executives, in the repatriation of the around 131 Misamisnon students enrolled in the Mindanao State University in their respective towns in the province following the brazen bombing incident in Dec. 3 morning. The Misamis Occidental PDRRMO immediately repatriated and assisted the affected Misamisnon students by fetching them directly from the MSU in Marawi City.
