Misamis Occidental Provincial Governor Henry S. Oaminal on Sunday morning ordered the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDDRMO) under the command of Retired General Joseph Villanueva to closely coordinate with 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and local chief executives, in the repatriation of the around 131 Misamisnon students enrolled in the Mindanao State University in their respective towns in the province following the brazen bombing incident in Dec. 3 morning.

The Misamis Occidental PDRRMO immediately repatriated and assisted the affected Misamisnon students by fetching them directly from the MSU in Marawi City. The PGMO and local government units from Oroquieta City, Tangub City, and Sinacaban deployed vehicles and 2 ambulances in the area to transport them from Marawi City back to their residences in Misamis Occidental.

The governor also condemned the heinous act of terror that claimed four innocent lives, including one from Tangub City, and wounded more than 50 civilians.

“I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the victims, their loved ones, and the MSU community that have been the target of this latest assault on peace. As of the latest update, of those wounded, four are from our Province,” the government stated.

Hence, Gov. Oaminal vowed to provide support and assistance to those affected Misamisnons by the tragedy.

“Rest assured that the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental in partnership with the Municipal and City Chief Executives are committed to giving assistance and support to those affected by the bombing,” he said. (SN/PGMO)
