Asenso Tangub kicks off ‘Pasko sa Pamilya 2023’

TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental--The Tangub city government in Misamis Occidental welcomes the holiday season with the launching of its “Pasko sa Pamilya Year 2 and Christmas Festival of Lights” intended to bring joyous festivity to its constituents.

Tangub Mayor Ben Canama graced the ceremonial lighting of Christmas decorations, glittering lights, and ornaments last Friday at the City Plaza—showcasing the rich culture and tradition of Tangubanons during this holiday season.

In his welcome remarks, Canama said the lighting of Christmas trees and decors symbolizes hope for the progress of the entire Misamis Occidental.

“Mga igsuon ko nga Tangubanon, silingan niining gabi-una atol sa atong pagbukas sa atoang mga lights kita tanan mag-ampo panalanginan unta sa Ginoo ug ang kahayag modan-ag dinhi sa atong dakbayan ug sa tibuok Misamis Occidental ilabina sa tagsa-tagsa ka kinabuhi,” Canama stressed.

Meanwhile, Canama feted Working Governor Henry Oaminal for his never-ending support to all the Tangubanons.

Thousands of locals and visitors expressed excitement during the exhibition's fireworks display.

Spectators were amazed by the eight colorful and creative Christmas entries showcased during the display.

Everyone is invited to celebrate “The Tangubanons Way” until the first week of January 2024.(SN/PGMO)
