Polls for Liga ng mga Barangay Federation orderly, smoothly held

 

 


OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental—The Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental has inducted a new set of officers for Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) provincial federation following a successful election last January 12.

Pablio Benitez Jr., provincial director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Misamis Occidental, lauded the conduct of an orderly and smooth election at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Capitol Drive, Oroquieta City.

Salvador JR. Cabaitan Canlas, the barangay captain of Tabid, Ozamiz City, was proclaimed as the new president of LnB Misamis Occidental Chapter along with Nanieth Maerl Bandala Acosta of Brgy. Poblacion I, City of Oroquieta as Vice President Misamis Occidental Chapter and Brgy. Sinonoc, Sinacaban Angeli Alegado Lood as auditor.

The winning Board of Directors includes Freddie Bocayong Malicse of Brgy. Lapasan Clarin; Joseco Arquiza Roa of Brgy. Ospital  Aloran; Ken Allen Barcenas Lawas of Brgy. Don Bernardo Calamba; Emilou Mananggit Animas of Brgy. Poblacion Sapang Dalaga; Mildred Manlangit Acuno of Brgy. Pangabuan Tangub City; Rodulfo Malinao Jr. of Brgy. Baybay Bonifacio, Samuel III; Lague Parojinog of Brgy. Pan-ay Diot Tudela; and Jonjie Pasiol Balangao of Brgy. Sibugon, Lopez Jaena.

The newly elected officers are tasked to promote the provincial programs and projects in their respective villages.

They are also mandated to fully support and promote the provincial government’s anti-criminal and corruption campaigns “anchored with decency, integrity and honesty”. (SN/PGMO)
