Gov. Oaminal sends aid to flooding victims in Ozamiz

 


Governor Henry S. Oaminal responded to the urgent needs of 164 families affected by flooding in some barangays in Ozamiz City through an extended cash assistance and family food packs distributed on Nov. 17 at the Ozamiz City Gym.

164 residents received P3,000 cash each and food packs consisting of six kilos of rice, 20 canned goods, and 20 liters of potable water. The governor also provided sleeping mats and bedsheets.

Governor Oaminal said that he want to make sure that the evacuees were comfortable in the evacuation center.

MisOcc 2nd District Board Member Eduardo "Tata" Cebedo, on behalf of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, rest assured that the Asenso Administration will always be responsive to calls for assistance in the province.

“Nanghinaot kami nga sa bisag gamay namo nga mga tabang sa inyoha kami makatabang sa inyong pang adlaw-adlaw ug sa mga kinahanglan ninyo," she said.

Natividad C. Trinidad, 83 and resident of Purok Malipayon, of Barangay Maningcol recounted her struggle with keeping her family from evacuating. She thanked the provincial and local government for sending help to their barangay during the flooding.

“Daghan kaayong salamat Mayor Indy Oaminal ug Governor Henry Oaminal sa mga ayuda nga inyong gihatag. Dako kaayo ning tabang sa amoa ug nasalbar gyud among mga panginahanglan,” Trinidad said.

It is a continuous commitment of Governor Oaminal to provide immediate support, particularly cash assistance to citizens in times of crisis.(SN/PGMO)
